My Favorite Sandwich Bread Recipe
This recipe makes two loaves of soft, slightly sweet, perfectly sliceable sandwich bread.
Ingredients:
✅ 2 cups warm water (about 110°F)
✅ ⅔ cup sugar
✅ 2 tablespoons yeast
✅ ¼ cup oil
✅ ¾ teaspoon salt
✅ 6 cups flour
Instructions:
Mix warm water and sugar in a bowl until combined. Sprinkle yeast on top and let sit for about 5 minutes, until foamy.
Add oil, salt, and flour. Mix and knead for about 5 minutes until the dough is smooth.
Cover and let rise until doubled in size.
Here is the trick to having no holes in your bread... Take your dough and roll it out very flat on a floured counter. Try to only make it as wide as your bread pan, but as long as it needs to be to be thin. Roll it up like you are making cinnamon rolls and place it in your pan. place in a Pullman pan and let rise again.
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Bake for 30 minutes until golden brown.
